The program follows the ever-popular DMAIC framework and seamlessly integrates Lean tools like Waste reduction, Poka Yoke, Value stream mapping etc with Six Sigma techniques like variability reduction, Graphical Analysis and Control Charts. The emphasis of the program is to create process optimization, standardization and sustainability and blends the curricula with new-age automation techniques like Robotics and AI
It comprises of theory sessions combining: detailed and practical explanation of the concepts along with practical examples from various sectors like financial services, manufacturing, logistics, BPO etc, and also includes exercises for participants to practice and internalise the concepts learnt
Program Outline: The program is designed as a 40-hour classroom-based training that is offered either as a continuous 5 day program on weekdays or a weekend program for 5 weeks. In future, it will also be available in an online webinar format
NO PRIOR EXPOSURE TO PROCESS IMPROVEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program is intended for those who want to drive process improvements, continuous improvement programs and business transformations in their organizations.
The program integrates tools from Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to create a toolkit for large-scale process re-engineering as well as improvements to individual processes. While the program will follow the DMAIC framework, it will also propagate the usage of Lean and Six Sigma tools as part of a toolkit that can be used in other frameworks like Agile Project Management. As such, this program will equip participants to drive process improvements using both the traditional Lean Six Sigma approach as well as a more nimble approach that can integrate automation initiatives.
The program will cover Lean tools like Waste reduction, Value Stream Mapping, Poka Yoke, SMED etc with Six Sigma techniques like variability reduction, Graphical Analysis, Control Charts as well as more advanced analytical tools like hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
The emphasis of the program is to create continuous improvement professionals who can drive efficiency and effectiveness initiatives in their organisation and blends the traditional Lean Six Sigma approach with new age automation techniques like Robotics and AI.
